"Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true" (Acts 17:11 NIV 2011).
The reason this is important, is to firmly establish what true experts and scholars are. We should be very critical of any resources we use, especially when not written by a true scholar who specializes in the area of Scripture we are studying (including things I post here). There are lots of teachers, radio personalities, pastors, speakers and would-bes that like to claim that they are scholars.
Sadly, however; many of these individuals cannot read or work with the original source languages; they are often unfamiliar with the academic scholarly tools commonly used in performing this type of research.
This is important, not because we want to put scholars on a pedestal; but rather, our point is this: When we are taking in information and performing our analysis of the Scriptures, we want to use the best, most accurate and well researched resources. As an example: Strong’s and Vine’s Bible references are not scholarly resources, true experts do not use them.
True experts have researched primary source languages concerning the Bible book in question. Often real experts have written extensively on the topic and are able to reference primary source evidences to support their conclusions.
Real experts are aware of multiple academic views of a Biblical book which are often written in English, German and French and other languages by leading scholars and they are fully versed in the authorship, time and place of a specific writing, the recipients of the writing, which normally includes the occasion and early use of a Biblical text. True experts are your best source for factual and strongly critiqued writings on your book of study.

Statement of Faith
We believe that the 66 books of the Bible are the authoritative Word of God and those original autographs were inerrant (without error). We believe the Bible is the instruction manual for how to live and walk in the Christian faith as Christs disciple. We believe God exist as the Trinity consisting of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, they are uncreated individual persons who are equal in power and glory, each with their own mind, will and emotions that co-exist harmonious as a single being we call God.
